WEEK 1 -
YEMEN
|
|
DAY 1 - WEEKLY SUMMARY
Our Arabic team has been broadcasting to Yemen for many years in the
Yemeni dialect. These programmes have gained popularity with great
interactive response from our listeners. Please pray that the
listenership to our Yemeni broadcasts will continue to grow – that
many more will tune in to FEBA’s programmes and acknowledge that
Jesus Christ is Lord. Some find it difficult to arrive at this point
but the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ is often a drawing
card. Pray that God will bring peace to this land.
|
|
DAY 2 Pray for our production team. They carry a big burden
for the salvation of his countrymen and family. Pray that his
programmes on love, peace and forgiveness will continue to challenge
and inspire the listeners.
|
|
DAY 3
Pray for the shortwave programmes (90 minutes per day). Pray that
these programmes in their Arabic dialect will attract many more
listeners and for the presenters to select relevant and interesting
topics to stimulate the listeners.
|
|
DAY 4
“We have successfully concluded two weeks’ production of ‘Reality
Church’ for Yemen” writes the production team. “A team of 8
programme producers from the Middle East assisted us – we were
greatly encouraged by it”
|
|
DAY 5
Two new programme producers are expected to join the team shortly.
Please pray for the approval of their access documentation and
smooth integration into the production team.
|
|
DAY 6
Pray for the team charged with the development of a website for
listeners who respond to the shortwave programmes. They are eager to
load their programmes onto the Web to chat with listeners on-line.
Questions posed by listeners will be treated more effectively in
this way.
|
|
DAY 7 A
listener from Yemen writes: “The Reality Church programme is a
good and important programme”. Pray for this listener and the
many others who remain in contact with our programme producers.

WEEK
2 -
DIALOGUE ON RELIGION
|
|
DAY 1 - WEEKLY SUMMARY :
FEBA Radio is set on interaction with listeners. We endeavour to
communicate in creative ways which elicits reaction and involvement
from our listeners. Contemporary and societal matters often lead to
further discussion on spiritual matters. Please pray for our
production personnel who go through a lot of trouble in their work
to ensure that the listener is properly introduced to Jesus Christ.
|
|
DAY 2
In Chiconono, northern Mozambique, Radio Chiuanjota continues to
engage the community leaders in dialogue. Please pray that many Yawo
speakers will be drawn to Jesus Christ in this manner.
|
|
DAY 3
Many listeners in the Middle East are lonely and desire to find
trustworthy friends. Listeners contact our programme announcers via
SMS, telephone, and email. They often ask: “Will you be my
friend?”
|
|
DAY 4
Baraka FM broadcasts in Mombasa, Kenya where conflict reigned
between Christians and Muslims. The station played a major role in
resolving the conflict by bringing the warring parties together for
meaningful dialogue.
|
|
DAY 5 Pray
for a FM programme being planned for the youth of Bangladesh.
Research indicated that the youth are searching for meaning and
substance in their lives and are eager to discuss a wide range of
topics in their quest.
|
|
DAY 6
Community radio presents humanitarian organisations and local
governments with a great platform to convey important information
to communities. Please pray for the many other radio stations where
FEBA Radio is also involved and where we bring a message of Hope in
Christ.
|
|
DAY 7
FEBA Radio broadcasts programmes to Muslims in the rural towns of
Bangladesh. Programmes include drama segments where the characters
discuss every-day matters - also the search after spiritual truth.
Pray that many will be drawn to Christ by these programmes.

WEEK
3 -
PROGRAMMES FOR WOMEN
|
|
DAY 1 - WEEKLY SUMMARY
The primary response to our programmes broadcast to the Middle East
comes from males; women often shy away from making contact with
FEBA Radio. Much of this has to do with a culture which regards
women as inferior and their opinion of lesser importance. In
instances where females do contact the studios, we are presented
with opportunities to journey with them in discipleship; teaching
that God has a special and significant place for them in society.
Pray that more women from the Arabic world will contact our
follow-up teams.
|
|
DAY 2 Please pray for the Arabic women who tune in to
“Arab Woman Today”. Precious interviews are conducted with
prominent women who share how they handle different issues - please
pray that listeners will benefit from this.
|
|
DAY 3
The programme “Eve - Source of Life” handles controversial
and other topics emanating from Muslim society and which affect
females directly via drama and discussion programmes. Pray that many
women will be touched as a result.
|
|
DAY 4
Pray for the special pastoral programme “Women and Flowers”
which aims to address deep spiritual and emotional needs of Arabic
women. Pray that it will inspire them to find rest and lasting peace
in Christ.
|
|
DAY 5
Pray for presenters of programmes for women. Ask that the Holy
Spirit touch them through these programmes with the love and
compassion of Christ. Pray specifically for the sensitive handling
of respondents to the programmes.
|
|
DAY 6
Pray for the programme “A Selected Verse with Sarah” – Pray
that the Bible will be used in an appropriate manner to correctly
address the day-to-day problems and needs of female Arabic
listeners.
|
|
DAY 7
A letter received from Syria reads: “Thank you for these special
programmes which makes a valuable contribution towards a better life
for a human being”. Please pray that women will discover that
life is indeed worth living when they come to know Jesus Christ.

WEEK

FEBA RADIO SA
|
|
DAY 1 - WEEKLY SUMMARY
South Africa plays a leading role in Africa on different terrains.
Many countries on the African continent see South Africa as a model
to imitate for. This is also true when it comes to the spiritual
arena where people harbour great expectations. Pray that FEBA Radio
SA will be in a position to escalate our involvement in global
projects - but especially those in Africa - in 2010. Pray for a
clear vision regarding further development of the radio work and
pray for God to provide personnel and finances needed for growth.
Thank the Lord for the large body of supporters who share in this
vision to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
|
|
DAY 2
– 2K+ is an international ministry project which makes use of great
sporting events to deliver powerful Christian testimony. Pray for
the 2K+ team making preparations to cover the 2010 Soccer World Cup
in their endeavour to provide media coverage and reports for radio
stations across the globe.
|
|
DAY 3
-

other, programmes in French for radio stations in Africa. Pray that
powerful testimonies of Christian soccer players will touch the
lives of listeners over the radio.
|
|
DAY 4
-
Pray for ‘The Ultimate Goal’- a project which aims to mobilise
Christians in SA to use the Soccer World Cup event to reach other
soccer enthusiasts with the Gospel. Radio also plays a very
important role in this.
|
|
DAY 5
-Every
effort is being made to utilize more opportunities (local and
abroad) to create greater awareness for the ministry of FEBA Radio.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will touch more folk to become involved in
world evangelization.
|
|
DAY 6
-
Pray that FEBA Radio SA’s provision of programmes to community radio
stations in our country will gain greater momentum to include not
only the Sesotho speaking, but even more languages for which there
is a great demand.
|
|
DAY 7
-
Our focus remains to be the least reached peoples of the world! Pray
that FEBA’s evangelical radio ministry will reap an abundant harvest
amongst those who have little opportunity to hear otherwise.
|
|
|
 |
Special Appeal |
 |
The 2010 Soccer World cup offers us
a great opportunity to witness for Christ!

Countries involved in the 2010 FIFA
Soccer World Cup
FEBA Radio, together with other international partners, are
involved in the 2K+ project which produces programmes
in various languages and includes testimonies from
international sport stars and administrators who are confessing
Christians.
For the production of these programmes during the
2010 World cup period FEBA Radio SA needs additional funds.
Please do consider a gift which will enable us
to share the love of Christ with millions
of “soccer mad” fans across the world who do not know
the GREAT CHAMPION, JESUS CHRIST.
